Juvederm Voluma XC is a clear hyaluronic-acid gel that was specially created to mimic the body’s naturally produced hyaluronic acid. When hyaluronic acid (HA) forms bonds with neighboring water molecules, this hydrates, firms, and plumps the skin tissues.

Ideal Candidate

The skin of the cheeks can begin to sag as a result of recent major weight loss or the aging process. Tissue is also lost from the cheeks’ underlying fat layer due to the aging process. Cheek filler can be injected at our Boston office in only a few minutes. Because the injection contains a little amount of the numbing ingredient lidocaine, any discomfort or pain is reduced, making the process more comfortable.

Because each patient’s tolerance varies, we can also provide a topical anesthetic.

Once you’re at ease, the Juvederm Voluma XC filler will be injected deep into the cheeks and midface for natural lift and volume.

Results

Most patients see results from cheek filler treatment right away and you will notice an increase in cheek volume immediately after your injection.

You can enjoy the results of Voluma XC for an average of 6-12 months.. After this time, you will need to come in for a maintenance treatment.

Aftercare

Little to no recovery time or downtime is required following cheek filler therapy. Avoid sunbathing, sun exposure, saunas, tanning beds, and extreme cold for a week following your Juvederm Voluma XC treatment. For the first 24 hours after your treatment, avoid applying powdery makeup on your cheeks. Do not drink alcohol or engage in strenuous physical activities.
